A Fitness to Practise Committee of the Education Workforce Council (EWC), sitting remotely on 24 September 2025, has found an allegation of ‘a relevant offence’ proved against youth support worker, Tudur Parry.
The Fitness to Practise Committee found the following allegations proven, that whilst employed as a Community Youth Worker at Denbighshire Youth Service, Mr Parry was convicted at Mold Magistrates’ Court on 21 November 2024 of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing on 13 August 2024, contrary to section s.31(1)(b) and (4) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. As a consequence of this offence, he was fined £884. The offence was aggravated by statutory characteristics.
The Fitness to Practise Committee imposed a Reprimand on Mr Parry’s registration as a youth support worker for a period of 2 years (from 24 September 2025 to 24 September 2027). As such, Mr Parry will be able to work as a registered person (youth support worker) who provides youth development services for or on behalf of a relevant employer for the period of the Reprimand.
Mr Parry has the right of appeal to the High Court within 28 days.
